The Strength That Stays
The Strength That Stays
For the season after

You survived it. Nobody told you what to do with who you became.

This is the book about the strength that was left behind.

From Part I

I thought I was broken because I was in constant pain, but I wasn't. I was awake. I finally saw, felt, and accepted what was.

How the book moves

Three parts, in order

I See›I Assess›I Stand

See it honestly. Take stock of what is yours. Stand in it without apologising.

From Part II

When you find your peace, protect it at all costs. Treat it as your most valuable asset and invest in all that enhances and encourages it.

So you know before you buy

Faith is named in these pages.

Morgan writes from it rather than around it. There is no companion journal for this title.

Inside this book

Three parts, in order. I See, where you stop calling it broken and start calling it awake. I Assess, where you take honest stock of your strengths, weaknesses and what you have been carrying that is not yours. I Stand, where you stop explaining yourself. 169 pages of poetry and prose, most pieces under a page.

Is this book for you

This one meets a later season than The Tears That Taught Me. It is less about the wound and more about who you turned out to be afterwards. You do not need to have read Tears first, though many readers do.

Faith is present and God is named. Morgan writes from her faith rather than around it.

There is no companion journal for this title. Tears and Healing each have one; this book stands alone.

Before anything else

You came out of it different, and nobody handed you words for who that is.

People congratulated you for being strong. They did not ask what it cost, or what you had to become to manage it.

So you carried on being the one who holds it together, and somewhere in there you stopped being sure which parts of you are the real ones and which are just the armour.

This book is about telling those two apart.

Who this book is for

You survived it. This is about who that made you.

01

You have been called strong for so long it stopped being a compliment

It became an expectation. Now there is no version of you that gets to put it down.

02

You cannot tell what is you and what is armour

Some of it kept you alive. Some of it is just habit now, and you are not sure which is which.

03

You are still explaining yourself to people who will not hear it

Clearing things up, softening how it sounds, managing what they think. It is exhausting and it has never once worked.

04

You are carrying weight that was never yours

Other people's expectations, other people's opinions, other people's unfinished business.

05

You cannot see what it built

You know what it took. The discernment, the patience, the read on people that you did not have before, all of that is harder to notice.

06

You are ready to stop apologising for who you are now

Not louder. Not harder. Just done shrinking to make the room comfortable.

Interior page

Your patterns reveal your mindset more than your words reflect your motives.

Part I, I See

I'd rather my silence be misunderstood than my words be misquoted or my presence mishandled.

Part II, I Assess

There is always more to your story. You just have to keep living and keep writing it.

Part III, I Stand

How the book moves

See it. Assess it. Stand in it.

The order matters. You cannot stand in something you have not honestly looked at first.

I
Part one

I See

You stop calling it broken and start calling it awake. Seeing your patterns, your part in it, and what the pain actually revealed.

II
Part two

I Assess

Honest stock of your strengths, your weaknesses and what you have been carrying that was never yours. Deciding what your peace is worth.

III
Part three

I Stand

You stop explaining yourself. Not louder, not harder. Just done managing what people decide about you.

Questions people actually ask

Do I need to read The Tears That Taught Me first?

No. This book builds on the same ground but stands on its own. Tears is about naming what happened to you. This one is about who you turned out to be afterwards. If you are still in the raw part, start with Tears.

Is there a journal for this book?

No. Tears and The Healing You Hear each have a companion journal written for them. This one does not. If you want somewhere to write, either of those pairings works alongside it.

How much faith is in this book?

A fair amount, and it is not subtle. God is named. Morgan writes from her faith rather than around it. Better to know now.

Is this poetry or prose?

Both, mixed throughout. 169 pages, most pieces under a page. Nothing needs decoding.

Will this be too heavy for where I am?

Less heavy than Tears. This one meets you after the worst of it, and spends more time on what you built than on what it cost.

How long will it take to arrive?

Orders ship within 5 business days. First Class then takes 3 to 5 business days and is insured. Media Mail is cheaper and slower, up to 14 business days, and is not insured.

What if it is not for me?

Send it back within 30 days. Shipping fees are not refundable, so the return costs you the postage and nothing else.

I love every book Morgan has written. They always seem to come to me at the most perfect time.
